Fairy Houses – the complete builder’s guide

This book was written for those who have always wondered HOW I make my faerie houses and what they need to know to make their own. This book is both an informative workshop guide for the already crafty reader as well as a rich source of ideas and examples.

The book starts with an inspiring gallery of different kinds of finished houses beautifully photographed in natural settings. Then, after reviewing basic materials and tools, you will learn how to think about the whole house as being composed of basic elements, and how they fit together.

From there, you’ll learn all about how to make those elements such as tiny doors, windows, different roof styles, adding extra decorative elements, even how to add battery-powered LED lights to your fairy house. Finally, the last part of the book shows step-by-step how I construct two different houses.

The book is well-organized and the detailed photographs and descriptions help you to be successful in mastering all the elements needed to make your own charming houses. There are however no blueprints or measurements. You are encouraged to seek out natural materials from your region and use these ideas and techniques and adapt them for your projects.
