These past few weeks have been a mad scramble of photo-taking and editing as the final push to get my images ready for Amber Lotus and the next calendar deadline looms very large on my horizon. It’s always a nostalgic journey this part of my process, much like viewing your vacation snaps at the onset of winter. This has been a remarkable spring and summer for us and as always I wish I could have done more to enjoy its beauty and magic… but the responsibilities of modern life so easily encroach…even here in the quiet northwoods.
One image of spring that spoke poignantly to me was this one:
Everything was so fresh and new. All the flowers and green plants had just emerged from the cold and muddy earth and were bursting forth in anticipation of more warmth, more sun and more sweetness. And the summer did not disappoint us.
So now these are the final few days to push thru to my deadline. We shall see what the good team at Amber Lotus decides is worthy of the pages of their 2021 Fairy Houses calendar….phew that seems like such a long ways off!
Meanwhile, you have just a few days left to get your tickets for the Fairy House raffle at the Sheldon Museum. HERE is the link to the Youtube video showing the house with links to the raffle page in case you missed it.
Have a great week everyone!
